To close its 2022/23 season, Cappella Caeciliana under conductor Matthew Quinn presented a concert which focused on showcasing Irish composing talent. The programme included music from a wide variety of Irish and Scottish composers including Charles Wood, Charles Villiers Stanford and Sir James MacMillan. It also included arrangements of some well known Irish airs and a wide selection of beautiful contemporary works including the premieres of "Quicksilver" by Anita Mawhinney (composition funded by the National Lottery via the Arts Council of Northern Ireland) and "The Blue Bird" by Anselm McDonnell.
