Cappella Caeciliana was delighted to be joined by guest conductor Eamonn Dougan (Associate Conductor of The Sixteen, and son of an Armagh native) for this special concert of music for Palm Sunday and Holy Week. Eamonn was performing for his first-ever time in Armagh. This took place in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral where his late father, Jim, was a boy chorister.
The programme included the Irish premiere of Stabat Mater by Alissa Firsova (in the presence of the composer), the ever-popular Requiem by Gabriel Fauré (with orchestra) and the acclaimed Miserere by James MacMillan.
