Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Downs Road, Newcastle
Cappella Caeciliana presented a programme for a Spring evening, in this landmark 1966 building near the seafront in Newcastle. The choir performed works old and new, and the programme (http://www.concert-diary.com/concert/1210777601/Love-Divine-Cappella-Caeciliana) featured both household favourites and some lesser-known, but very attractive, pieces. Cappella were be joined by organist Stephen Hamill, who acted as accompanist and also played some solo items on the Wells Kennedy organ which was extended in 2016 by the Skrabl company of Slovenia.
